Rogue Productions Magic & Funshop started out in a
backpack on the street corners of New York City. The store was
basically a backpack filled with trick decks, magical gimmicks, and
all the videos it could carry. From there, it moved into Rogue's
apartment for a couple of years (You wouldn't believe the stories
he could tell about the people who came to shop). He eventually
moved the store out of his apartment into a corner of a little
bookstore. Finally, he got a store of his very own, the present
inception that you see today.
Rogue left college with a major in Art and a minor in English, and
worked as a computer-assisted graphic designer for a local cable tv
station. "But I was never happy," he said. He spent more time on
conjuring tricks than on acting professional. "I was always doing
magic at work. I did magic all my life." Rogue quit his computer
design post and got a job at a Manhattan magic shop. "In the first
week, I said, 'This is what I want to do'". He didn't really like
the idea of working for somebody else, so he took to the streets to
fend the business world by himself - and the rest, as they say, is
history.
